Hello everyone needing some help with this one! I'm still new to Interventional Radiology coding and this popped up today. Any thoughts are appreciated! I know for Fiducial marker placement is 49411 but wasn't sure if this would be the same? Thank you!

Fluoroscopically guided T9 pedicular marker placement

Indication: Preoperative radiopaque T9 pedicular marker placement for T8 lesion resection.

Impression:
1. Uneventful right T9 pedicle radiopaque marker placement.
2. No immediate complication.
3. Plan: Thoracic spine CT prior to discharge to confirm placement.

Prior to the procedure, the procedure as well as its risks, benefits, and alternatives were explained to the patient and written, witnessed informed consent was obtained. Prior to the procedure, the patient, procedure, and side were identified and verified in the presence of existing personnel. Proper time out was performed.

ASA code: 3

Conscious sedation: Conscious sedation was performed with continuous physiologic monitoring.

Medications, Sedation time, Fluoroscopy time, and Contrast media: Please see electronic medical record.

Technique/findings:
Patient was positioned prone on the table. Patient's back was prepped and draped in usual sterile fashion. The right pedicle of T9 was identified under fluoroscopy, site marked. Local anesthetic obtained with lidocaine. Under fluoroscopic guidance, a 17-gauge Osteocut needle was advanced into the right T9 pedicle. A total of two 035 coils were placed under fluoroscopic guidance. Needle was removed. A sterile dressing was applied.

Patient transferred to the recovery area, plan to obtain CT of the thoracic spine to confirm placement.

No immediate complication.
