We will be starting to schedule our simple PEG replacements in the office setting, CPT 43762. Could I get some feedback on what have been some of your experiences with reimbursement and denials with various carriers? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

One of my providers, a NMP, just asked if we can do this in office. We are family practice and based on what I am reading in the description of the code and the forums it appears we can indeed, we are family practice. But my question is will a NP be reimbursed or does it have to be a physician????

Thank you

Depends. If there contracted with the insurance and work for your practice. Which I imagine they do.
So bill under NP for Medicare following insurances and others require the NP to be listed as the service provider but bill under the MD
