Does anyone have any experience doing pelvic floor therapy in the office setting? One of our urologists wants to hire a person with her PRPC certification to do pelvic floor therapy in the office setting. My questions are....1. Can it be done in the office by PRPC and billed under physician? Everything I see states it should be a licensed physical therapist. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? THANKS

This will be payer dependent. But yes, most payers require a licensed PT to perform the procedures. And of course it also depends on the procedures that are being done. Not all pelvic floor therapy is covered.
