Hi All,

Does anyone have any info on getting the 64405 paid for migraine treatment? My MD's are doing Bilateral Occipital Nerve blocks to treat migraines but Medicare is not covering this procedure with any of the migraine or headache diagnosis. TIA

Normally occipital nerve blocks are to treat occipital pain, not migraines. Migraines are not a covered diagnosis per the Medicare LCD. If it is indeed for migraines, then the patient would have to sign an ABN and pay for out of pocket.
