HI Guru.

when either the physician(anesthesiologist) or the CRNA places peripheral IV, are we permitted to bill this? what code do you use?


there are times when we place the peripheral iv.

Take a look at 36400 and 36410. However, they both include the description "not to be used for routine venipuncture".
Documentation will be instrumental for reimbursement of these codes.
