Wiki pessary fitting unsuccessful

Patient presented for pessary fitting. Two different sizes were attempted but the patient was not comfortable and left the office without a pessary. I feel the worked was performed and the provider could report 57160. Would Modifier -52 be appended?
 
This is an old post, but I was wondering if there was any resolution? I'm coming across this issue as well. Patient came in for pessary fitting, we tried multiple sizes unsuccessfully, and patient left with future appointment to return for a different type of pessary fitting.
