My doc did a I & D of an abscess on a patient's hand and underneath found a septic clot in a vein, which he cut out and ligated the ends of the vein. I cannot come up with the procedure code for this phlebectomy. All of the ones I am finding refer to vericose veins in the legs. Can any one help?

what about 26116, excision tumor, soft tissue or vascular malformation hand/ finger less than 1.5 cm (case did not say size) just a thought?
