When coding for phonophoresis, I know that I use 97035 for the ultrasound portion, but is there a seperate code for the steroid gel that is used? Or is this all included in the 97035?
 
The supplies used (including the gel for ultrasound) are included in the allowance for the procedure. For example, you don't charge for each electrode when doing an EKG. Those are integral parts of the procedure.
