Wiki Photodynamic therapy (PDT)

New to this therapy. Does anyone know how to bill multiple areas? I believe 96567 is for one area? Thanks

The Code for PDT states per session not per area. So if multiple areas are treated, but the pt is only exposed to 1 round of the BLUE light you can only charge for one session. If the pt did multiple areas and had to be exposed to more then 1 blue light session you would charge multiple 96567 with a 59... Example

Scalp and face treated with 1 blue light exposure.... 96567 with 1 unit J7308

Arms, scalp, and back treated with 2 blue light exposures ..... 96567
96567 59
J7308 X 2 units
