I believe that a pap smear is included in a physical. Since most insurances follow the Medicare guidelines then we use a G0101 if a patient is just having a Pap smear. But if they see a doctor for physical and pap wouldn't you just use the appropriate prev med code only. Or could you also use the G0101? Thank you.
