We have a Physical Therapy department with 1 PT and a couple of PTAs. This department is in the same building as several other specialties that belong to our group also, eg., Orthopaedics, Internal Med, Family Practice, etc. Our PT just tested positive for COVID. I have been researching to see if our PTAs can bill for services provided while our PT is out of the office. At the present time he would be able to provide remote supervision, but of course, this may not be the case in the next day or so. I feel like I read that CMS' supervision rules were revised (lightened) during the PHE, but have been unable to find any guidance. Does anyone have any information on PTA supervision requirements during the PHE? Thanks for you help!
