When a physician has a patient, what code to use if physician says no charge for services???

Why is there a no charge? Because no service was rendered? You cannot just no charge a visit because the patient is a friend or family member

We use 99024 if it is a legit no-charge visit.

99024 is a post operative encounter code it cannot be used for any visit you want to no charge.

You can use a 99499 which should not have a charge connected to it since it is unlisted.
