I am looking for some benchmarking information regarding how other health systems have structured their Physician Compliance department. We are a health system with employed physician's and APP's. I am the Physician Compliance Officer and I have 3 coding auditors. We are multi-specialty so we have just about every specialty. Do your auditors only work specific specialties? Do you separate by services, such as E/M versus surgeries? Or do they all work as one group and are assigned audits?
