There is a discussion in our office. What, if anything, can be performed and billed without a physician present in the office - i.e. venipunctures, urinalysis, etc.

You should look real hard at your malpractice ins parameters. As a physician office the physical you are billing under must present anytime a patient is being seen in the office. This different than a lab or pt clinic and the rules are different. So no provider in the office should mean no patients
