If a patient receives a B12 injection by the Medical Assistant or Nurse, does the physician need to sign the note? The order was in a previous note (2 years ago) stating that they patient would receive weekly B12 injections, but I cannot find definitive information regarding the need for physician signature when ancillary personnel provide the service. Can someone please provide a source for this?
