Is there any documentation that says the physician has to sign off on the nurse phone message with or without standing orders?

IN OUR OFFICE THAT IS THE POLICY.i HAVE NEVER ACTUALLY SEEN DOCUMENTATION TO THAT. I HAVE BEEN IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR SIX YEARS. I THINK IT IS MORE OR LESS A CYA (COVER YOUR A**)UNLESS SOMEONE CAN GIVE DOCUMENTATION TO. MYSELF PEROSNALLY I WANT MY
2 PHYSICIANS TO SIGN OFF ON EVERYTHING I DO SO, IF THERE IS A ,MISTAKE THEY WOULD EITHER CATCH IT OR TAKE RESPONSIBLITIY ALSO.
