No you will need to bill the patient . These charges ate for use only when the patient calls the provider

Most insurance companies do not reimburse the use of Telephone Evaluation E/M codes. Most providers do not meet the documentation requirments for these services, so I would review the guidelines for these codes and make sure the provider has documented everything needed for the service. Chances are, the 99442 should not have been billed. AMA has made this a tricky service to bill for.
