If a doctor reads an echo or holter from his home, what place of service would you use?

There's an article in the May 2012 issue of The Coding Edge that answers this question. You can also reference CMS transmittal R2407 and MedLearn Matters article MM7631.

You use the POS relative to the setting in which the patient received the service, not where it was read (if not the same POS). This article is available here on the AAPC site under Continuing Education/Coding Edge/Current Past Issues.
