We are a radiation oncology office that sits on a hospital campus. We are not part of the hospital and we are considered a physician's office for billing purposes. When a patient has been admitted to the hospital, but requires radiation therapy as part of their care, the patient is transported across the parking lot to our office and radiation therapy is provided and patient is transported back to the hospital.
What is the location in the above scenario:
Is the office place of service (11) proper if the patient has not been discharged from the hospital, but brought to an office for radiation therapy?
Is the inpatient hospital place of service (21) correct because the patient is receiving radiation therapy as part of their inpatient care?
It should also be noted that Box 32 changes slightly with the difference of location. Inpatient name is "hospital cancer center" when non-hospital patients have "company cancer center" in box 32.
Thank you all so much for your insight.

The rule on POS came out last year. If the patient is a registered inpatient , then POS for physician services is the 21 even if this takes place in the office setting

In the scenario described above for inpatients receiving radiation therapy services in a physician's office (not owned by a hospital) would the hospital be responsible for the payment of the technical component? What about patients in a Part A stay of a SNF or Swing Bed stay?

Very confusing. Thanks for any advice!
