Our Docs see their own patients while they are in the hospital.
Before the POS rule changes that just went into effect, when a Medicare patient was discharged from the hospital and also admitted to the SNF on the same day we did the discharge with POS 21, and the admit to the SNF with POS 34. Both services were performed while the patient was at the hospital. With the new rules which POS do we now use, and still get paid for both services?
