I needing help with a cpt code for this procedure along with dx's. Here is the Op Report:
Procedure Performed: Placement of Right Femoral Trauma Introducer
Her right groin was prepped with ChloraPrep. I accessed the vein on the second stick. I passed the wire. I placed the dilator and sheath. I removed the dilator and wire. There was good blood flow. I hooked a J Loop up to the Introducer. I did draw 10ml of blood for laboratory studies. I then sutured the line in place with the 3-0 silk suture. We hooked initially saline and ultimately blood to the Trauma Introducer to transfuse the patient. Dressing was applied.
