Does anyone currently bill for Plaque Brachytherapy, for example diagnosis Choroidal Melanoma? I work for a retina practice and we have just added a provider who treats retina cancers. We are getting conflicting information on how to bill the initial office visit and the surgery.

This is what is included in the surgery:
1) plaque placement
2) pars plana vitrectomy
3) endolaser
4) transpupillary thermotherapy (if they have the diode laser)
5) intravitreal avastin
6) fine needle aspiration biopsy

Removal:
1) removal of plaque
