My plastic surgeon went in to help the cardiologist. My doctor did the incison into the inframammary fold and the cardiologist changed out the defibrillator and then my dr closed it up. I am thinking that we would bill complex closure code or we could bill the cardiologist code and use a 62 modifer, since the excision into the chest is included in the defibrillator code. Thanks so much any help would be appreciated.
