I am having trouble coding a surgery that was performed by my surgeon. There are multiple directions I can go, but unsure what is most accurate. I have attached the operative dictation below.
"A #18 gauge needle was used to perform a puncture wound through the skin and the hypodermic needle was inserted under the skin and in the subcutaneous plane. Multiple cuts were made with the tip of the needle to release the depressed scar and wrinkles. After the skin was freed up, the needle was removed and the wound allowed to drain. Sterile dressings applied."
