Anyone working pediatrics---when you have a child come in for his yearly physical what cpt's do you bill? I need to see what other practices are billing particularly for the eye test. I know you would be billing 99391-99395 but what other tests do you regularly do at the pe?? Thanks alot :d

please help w/99173 and 92551

When you bill 99173 and 92551 along with the preventive exam do the insurance companies pay? I am coming across most insurance companies that are bundling the services or dropping it to the patient's deductible. If is is a non covered service than can I have the patient fill out a waiver form? Thanks -Edie

In our office we use the -59 modifier with the 99173 & 9255 and some companies will pay. However, you may want to check with insurance first to see if it is a covered service or just have them sign a waiver and explain to them that it may not be a covered service.
