I have been asked to renegotiating a contract for our practice 17 providers. I have very little experience with this so I hope someone can help. Our providers are now contracted individually, my thoughts are we should have a group contract any or suggestions or advise on this would be appreciated.

For what it's worth Cathy, my practice has 9 providers and when I started there 10 years ago they all were contracted individually. Since then we are now ALL on group contacts. It just makes more sense. We are a single speciality with a couple of MD's holding sub-specialties as well.

I enjoy the contract negotiating aspect of my position. If you would like I have some great material for a payer negotiating course I took last year, I can scan it and send it to you.
