We have a pt that has scar tissue from a full thickness burn over 80% of his body and now he can not regulate his body temperature. Is there a code for this problem?

Late Effect Guidelines

Look on pg 15 of the AAPC ICD-9-CM 2010 book or Section I Ch 17 of the 2010 ICD-9-CM guidelines concerning the percentage of burns and late effect from it. This should point you hopefully in the right direction. 906.5-906.9 You may also need an E code it says.
