Hello, pretty new to OB/GYN coding. I have a revision of obstetrical scar that occurred 3 years ago from episiotomy. Now has vaginal pain at scar. Here is what was done:
Bridges of tissue were identified (previously seen one, noted to have two with exam). Skin and scar were injected with dilute lidocaine with epinephrine. Bands of tissue were cut
with a metzenbaum scissors, restoring a more natural contour. Base of cut tissue was cauterized briefly for hemostasis and bacitracin ointment
placed on this. Would this be 17999 or something else? TIA for any direction/suggestions.
