Hi All! My coworkers and I want to present at our weekly meeting the following situation: When a patient is under the care of a rehab (let's say for a stroke) and comes into the office (let's say Urology) for something unrelated to the stroke, how EXACTLY should it be coded/billed? I've gotten so many different bits of information that my brain hurts. ;) We're thinking of asking for an in-service from either Medicare (probably a snowball's chance of THAT), or a local rehab rep (to paint us a picture of what they're responsible for payment for and what needs to go to Medicare directly) or someone local who does rehab/hospice/SNF coding to paint us that picture. Is this a crazy idea? If it's not, does anyone know any resources we might be able to utilize here in Vegas? Thanks!!!
