Hi All~
I am new to pulmonary coding and my doctor removed a polyp from the upper lobe of the lung. I asked him if he felt 31640 would be an appropriate code. He said that yes, he felt it represented the services but wasn't sure if a Pulmonologist could bill for a polyp removal. Is there a limited scope of practice for this specialty that I am not aware of? Any help would be much apprectiated!
