Abdominal aortogram

I am not able to find a CPT code for popliteal access for an abdominal angiogram to access the SFA when femoral access was unsuccessful

For this procedure the cath placement code is based on the furthest vessel that was selected (for the imaging), which is the aorta.
When coding for cath placement in the aorta, the access site doesn't really matter (upper extremity, lower extremity) the final catheter placement is what you need to code.
Your cath code is 36200 with 75625 if an abdominal aortogram was performed.
