Our patient has 2 ports, one on left side of abdomen and one on the right. The nurse did port flush for both. That was the only service. I attached documentation and listed the charge 2x with a 59 modifier on the 2nd charge. Since it was 2 different ports I think the charge should be 2 x.
I can't find answer to this? Anyone have any insight on this?
