If a patient had a deep FB in the thigh and our physician used a portable ultrasound to locate it for removal is that billable? And if so would the cpt code be 76942? This would be done in an office setting.
Our medical director is looking to get a portable ultrasound and is asking. I'm not familiar with billing for ultrasounds and was hoping for advise.
