POS 12 Home for DME

So, my billing software/clearing house is kicking out claims stating that it needs the full 9 digit zip on the facility location, the facility is patient home POS 12. So do I really need to add the full zip plus four for every patient? Our system is not pulling from a national Zip data base so that means I have to add a zip plus four to the data file every time I add a new one.

In my Plan/Carrier files I see that for a POS 12 I can default the facility address (which would be either the office, assisted living, or skilled nursing address for us) than we would not have to have the zip plus four on every patient. Thoughts/Advice? I have tried finding information to no avail. Currently I am just adding it to every patient that gets DME.

We have also had to add the additional 4 digits on patient claims. Luckily we do not have that many.
