Hello, I have a question about POS 31 versus 32. I work at a designated rural health clinic and we bill professional fees for nursing home visits and we also bill for skilled nursing/swing-bed rounds when patients are admitted in our hospital. I have searched for clarification regarding place of service and would like input from a coder if we need to use POS 32 for our nursing home claims and 31 for swing-bed.

You are absolutley correct. We have been a Rural Health clinic since before I started 18 years ago-32 is nursing home and 31 will be used for your skilled nursing/SNF visits.
