OUR OFFICE IS HAVING A DISAGREEMENT ABOUT WHICH POS TO CHOOSE WHEN OUR DOCS "CONSULT" (ORTHO) FOR A PATIENT THAT IS IN THE ED. DO WE BILL THE CONSULT WITH THE "ED" POS OR DO WE BILL WITH OTHER POS SUCH AS "OBS" OR OUTPT.THE DOCS ARE ON CALL AND COME INTO THE ED WHEN NEEDED. PLEASE HELP. IF POSSIBLE ANY ARTICLES OR DOCUMENTS THAT CAN HELP US EDUCATE OUR DOCS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED. :confused:
 
sorry I was thinking one thing and typing another you would use the ER levels and ER POS. Sorry for the confusion, thanks for keeping me straight!
The info for this is in the Mcare manual on level of service relative to POS.
