Wiki POS for Residental Treatment Center

Does anyone know what POS to use when billing for Psychotherapy codes in residential treatment facility. I have group that bills with POS 22 and they are trying to bill a discharge code with their services (99238). I thought you could only use this code if they were admitted into the hospital?

Any help or references would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have used this POS code 56 for a RTC, since the new CPT code changes in January - most of the insurance companies don't like and have been denying my claims. They say it's an "outpatient" code 99213, which it is, but it's a RTC!!

Does anyone know of another way to bill then?

Scenario: M.D. goes to RTC to provide Medication Mgmt services to the patients. He is not the attending, he just goes there once a week to write scripts.

I've been using POS 56 and CPT code 99213 and keep getting denied half the time. Am I right??
