A local employer has requested us to come to their facility to provide flu shots to their employees. The employer would like all of these billed to the patient's insurance.
What place of service would be appropriate on the 1500? We were thinking 18 but the description says "where a health professional provides on-going or episodic occpational medical, therapeutic, or rehablitative services to the individual". MLN MM8125 further describes this as a need to establish a place for the delivery of occupational-related medical and rehabilitation services in the work place, and giving flu shots doesn't really seem to fit. Any thoughts on the appropriate place of service? If we do use 18, I think we would put the employer's address in Box 32 on the 1500 but who's NPI would we put in Box 32A?
