Patient returns to OR for post abortion hemorrhage d&c with findings of disseminated intravascular coagulation, leading to a diagnostic laparoscopy. 1st question, would you code the d/c as obstetrical? it was 4 hours post abortion. would you code both d/c and lap?

Assuming it was a regular intrauterine pregnancy, then yes I would code as obstetrical (for ectopic - ACOG says 58120 is ok). And yes to the lap.
