We had a patient come to our ER with a post fistula surgery bleeding. The ER doctor called a General Surgeon in to consult on the patient. The surgery was done 1 week prior to the ER Visit in another facility. The General Surgeon performed a Figure of eight ligation X 2 of small arterial bleed at fistula site, status post fistula surgery. This was all done in the ER and not the OR. Any suggestions on the correct CPT code to use?
