Hi, I need clarification with cpt code 54930. Our dr is only seeing the patient for postpartum care in the office. He has not provided any antenatal care nor the delivery. This is the first time the patient is been seeing by our Dr. Should I code 54930 or a 9920x? thank you
 
I think you would need to find out where she had her prenatal care and call them to see if they billed a global. If they did, you would just use an E&M code.
