At our facility sometimes our providers will see patients for postpartum care whether that's a check up for a surgery they didn't perform a C-section or it is a 6 weeks postpartum without providing any other prenatal care what I'm wondering is when is it appropriate to bill the postpartum code I believe that's 54930. Also the codes that include with postpartum care when can you Bill for those do you have to wait for the patient to present for her appointment for her six weeks check up or do you Bill that code when the patient delivers and this question I am referencing a delivery only with postpartum care code whether it's C-section or vaginal
