In non global postpartum care the doctor wants to see the 1 week after c/s to check the wound and then 6week ppv. would you bill an E/m for 1 wk visit and then 59430 for the 6 week ppv?
 
Hi Jamie, this is per AAPC OBGYN Article
Usually after a cesarean, the ob-gyn would see the patient for two visits. Do not bill for the wound check.
So the wound check would be a 99024, and the PP visit would be coded 59430.
