I'm confused on this one..
Curettage was done while patient was in for her C-section. The physician performed this due to hemorrhage. She was not brought back to surgery, they did this right after the C-section before they closed. What I am stumped on is that 59160 states passes the curettage through the cervix & endocervical canal into the uterus. The physician did not do this. I am not sure if this is the correct code for this. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!
