Could one use O7.17 the day after delivery. The patient was said to have suffered 2 hematomas present in the left vaginal wall per a CT scan.

I think you mean O71.7 as the code. Yes, this code can be reported for obstetric hematomas. You would instead report O90.2 if you knew the hematoma was caused by an episiotomy incision bleeding into the vaginal wall.
