How do you bill for hydration/infusion of Potassium added to Saline, Pre Chemotherapy to avoid kidney toxicity (20 minutes)?

Thanks
Teri W.

Drug is Potassium J3480. I'm currently trying to figure out the appropriate way of sending these out also. Our doctors state it is part of their chemo cancer regimen and should be sent with the cancer code and Z51.11, but I'm unable to find any information on this. Have you came across anything yet?

We submit with the cancer and Z51 codes. They are part of the treatment regimen for the cancer. We have no problem with reimbursement with our payers.
