Our practice was sold recently to a hospital group. We have billed out the OB care for however many visits the patient was seen under the old practice but now we are trying to make sure that we are billing correctly going forward. For example we billed under the old tax id 59425 (4-6 visits) and then she delivered under the new tax ID after 6 visits. Do we bill for the 59425 and 59409. Also we have a few that were only seen for 1-3 visits. should they be treated the same way?
