Prcotosigmoidoscopy w/ closure of enterostomy

Doctor performed a proctosigmoidoscopy to confirm the patency of the sigmoid colon prior to resecting and closing a loop ileostomy. The patient had a history of ulcerative colitis. Is anyone coding the 45300 with 44625 and getting paid? It does have a separate procedure designation, but I wouldn't consider it an integral part of the resection. Any ideas or opinions?
