How would I code a outpatient pre op done at the hospital would i use the 99201-99205? and do you always use the V code first ?

Who is performing the service?

If it's the surgeon, this may be global to the surgical package.

If it's the PMD this may be a consult, or it may be an established patient visit.

If it's the hospitalist this may be a consult or a new patient visit.
