I have a question on pre op exams say someone comes in for lung cancer 1629 and EKG was done now the EKG isn't going to be paid for unless you have hypertension,ect i was asked to look into other visits for this information , now to me this is wrong i shouldn't have to look no further then that visit and that visit only to take any information from .
i have found most always the information i need is the h&p from the day they have surgery but i would forward it to my lead coder , because i cannot take it from another visit .
now the information i need was put in the wrong account , i think it should be moved and they still haven't fix this problem , what would you do in this situation
